WIA, WGA and IVA: what is that exactly?

The WIA consists of two types of benefit: the WGA (WorkForces Partially Disabled Persons) and the IVA (Income Provision Fully Disabled Persons). An employee receives a WGA benefit if he has been ill for 2 years or more and is between 35% and 80% incapacitated for work. Also if your employee is more than 80% incapacitated for work, but with a chance of recovery, he will receive a WGA benefit. An IVA benefit is for employees who are fully and permanently incapacitated for work. In that case, the employee is unable to work or can work only very little and the chance of recovery is very small. In most cases, the percentage of incapacity for work is 80%.
