Do I need a Green Card when I'm abroad?
The RV insurance is valid in the countries for which the Green Card was issued. This means that the countries that are NOT crossed out on the back of the Green Card are covered.
Replacement Transportation Europe
Please note: Any coverage under Replacement Transportation Europe is valid only in the European countries or European parts of countries listed on the green card.
Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino, and Gibraltar
The territories of Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino, and Gibraltar are not listed separately on the Green Card. However, the Green Card does provide coverage in these territories. For the purposes of the Green Card, these territories are included under the following countries:
Monaco – France
San Marino – Italy
Gibraltar – Great Britain
Liechtenstein – Switzerland.
Montenegro / Serbia
As of July 2007, Montenegro is no longer listed on the green card. In other words, code SRG has been replaced by SRB.
Green cards on which Serbia has not been crossed out provide coverage only in those parts of Serbia that are administered by the Serbian government.
We have been in contact with the Serbian Embassy and the Dutch Motor Insurers' Bureau. This has resulted in the following:
1. All of Serbia is administered by the Serbian government, and there is a Green Card office there, so we provide coverage throughout Serbia.
2. Montenegro does not have a Green Card office, but it is still under Serbian administration. In the event of an accident in Montenegro, you should contact the Green Card office in Serbia.
