Premium payment of a current policy

If you call with a question regarding an outstanding premium or want to make a payment arrangement, we at Alpina cannot help you. It is better to contact the insurer directly. Click here for an overview of the telephone numbers of the various insurers.

Has the premium on your policy increased?

If all is well, you have received a new policy endorsement by email or by mail. This states what the reason for a premium increase may be;

    • Adjustment of claim-free years
    • In roydata no available claim-free years were found or a different number than you had stated when applying. This changes the discount on your policy. The basic premium has remained the same, but because the discount is different, the net premium will change.

In case of a moped this is not registered in roydata, but an original cancellation statement from the previous insurance must follow. This is also called a termination statement or bonus/malus statement.

Canceling an insurance policy

Reporting a new claim can be done entirely online. On average, claims reported online are processed 4 working days faster.

Windscreen damage

If you have coverage for windscreen damage, you can call in a windscreen repairer who is listed on your green card. In most cases the glass repairer will settle the claim with your insurance company.

Status of ongoing damage

If you would like to know the status of a pending claim, we recommend that you fill in the contact form and clearly state your claim number. Many insurers have backlogs due to staff shortages, as a result of which the settlement of a claim can take longer than you are used to.

Accumulation of claim-free years

Did you receive a letter that your claim-free years are not visible in roydata?

Is it true that you previously had automotive insurance in your name with another insurer?

If Yes;

Have you already instructed the insurer to terminate it? It may be that this has not yet happened, as a result of which your claim-free years have not yet been entered in royalty data. You can check this with your previous insurer

If the policy is not terminated, the years will not be credited in royalty data and unfortunately you cannot use them for a new insurance policy. The claim-free years are seen as a security just like a banknote, you can only spend them once.

Report a complaint

Are you not satisfied with our services? Then you can file a complaint with us by filling out the complaint form. Your complaint will then be immediately assigned to a staff member who will handle it. In any case, we will provide you with a substantive response within 14 days of receiving the complaint. If the complaint is not resolved by Alpina to your satisfaction, you can, if you wish, go to the Financial Services Complaints Institute (Kifid). You can also submit your complaint to the Dispute Commission via the European ODR Platform (http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/).
