To determine the premium for third-party liability and comprehensive coverage under a motorhome insurance policy, the insurance company needs the motorhome’s original list price. If you have the purchase price listed on an original sales receipt from a motorhome, trailer, or car dealership registered with the Chamber of Commerce, that value can be used.
If you own a factory-built motorhome, you can usually find out the list price by contacting the importer or the motorhome dealer. Based on the make, model, and year of manufacture, the importer can often provide you with a fairly accurate estimate of the original list price or new price.
