What papers are required for an MOT inspection?
Your car must undergo regular MOT inspection. You can get this MOT inspection done at garages and inspection stations that are recognized by the RDW. But what papers do you need for an MOT inspection?
Since 1 March 2010, the registration certificate part I is no longer used for the MOT inspection. The RDW's basic vehicle register is now used to check the vehicle's data.
Identification during MOT inspection
The chassis number combined with the license plate number is the main identifier of your vehicle during a MOT inspection.
Important: You no longer need to bring papers to an MOT inspection.
What do they look for in an MOT inspection?
During the inspection, the tyres, brakes, exhaust emissions and lighting, among other things, are checked.
