Step 1: Enter the registration number of your motorcycle and your information

You start by entering the registration number of your motorcycle. Based on the license plate number, some information about the motorcycle is already filled in for you, such as the make and type. In addition, you also enter your zip code, house number and date of birth. We will also ask for your accumulated claim-free years, as these affect the premium. Step 2: Choose your main coverage and additional coverages

Next, you choose a main coverage for your insurance. You can choose between three different coverages: WA, WA + Beperkt Casco or Allrisk. In the Netherlands, it is a legal requirement for every motor vehicle to have at least WA insurance. This also applies to motorcycles. With a WA motor insurance you are insured for damage that you cause to another person with your motorcycle. Your own damage is not compensated with this coverage. WA + Limited Casco is an addition to the compulsory WA insurance. With this coverage your motorcycle is also insured for theft and fire damage. You can also choose the most extensive motorcycle insurance. With all-risk coverage, damage to your motorcycle due to your own fault is also covered.

In addition, you can expand your motorcycle insurance with additional coverages. For example, you can choose the additional coverages recourse legal assistance, motor vehicle legal assistance, passenger accident or passenger damage.

Step 3: Compare motorcycle insurance policies by price and content

After filling in the information above, you will get an overview of all motorcycle insurance policies that match your motorcycle and requirements. You will also find the corresponding premiums and policy conditions. This way you can make a good comparison on price and content. Do not immediately choose the cheapest motorcycle insurance, but also look carefully at the coverage. Then you can be sure that you are well insured.

Step 4: Apply for your chosen motorcycle insurance policy!

Have you found a good motorcycle insurance policy? Then you can apply for it directly online. After completing the application, we will send it to the insurer. You will then receive an e-mail from the insurer telling you whether or not you have provisional coverage. In most cases, the insurer simply provides provisional coverage, which means that you can immediately take your motorcycle on the road. Next, the insurer must convert your provisional coverage to final coverage. This takes up to 48 hours, but often happens within an hour.
